field notes.
I'm a music educator and researcher working at the seam between classroom practice and digital sound. By day I coordinate the arts program at Colegio Einstein in Quito, Ecuador, supporting visual arts, theatre and music across PYP, MYP and DP. I also supervise online music-education students at UNIR and serve as a commissioner for ISME's Forum on Instrumental and Vocal Teaching.
On the build side I make small, opinionated tools: interactive theory lessons with rendered notation and audio, lightweight instruments, classroom dashboards, terminal-flavoured workflows. Touching Sound is my personal research and consulting umbrella; this site is the curator.
Background: PhD in Music Education from the University of Miami (2021). Bass player, soundscape nerd, lifelong terminal user, occasional bioluminescence apologist.
